Overview

1st Way of Maricopa County, Inc. (1st Way) has been serving the Phoenix community for more than 30 years. 1st Way is a 501C(3) registered non-profit organization funded entirely by individual donations and charitable grants. It is staffed by a committednetwork of volunteers.

1st Way is located at 333 E. McDowell Road in Phoenix. Our office is conveniently located on bus routes serving the low income areas of south and central Phoenix. There usually is someone in our building who speaks Spanish to interpret for us.

Under the direction of a Board of Directors, the trained and compassionate volunteers of 1st Way provide the following education and services completely confidentially and free.

• Pregnancy Testing
• Information on all options, including Parenting, Adoption, and Abortion
• Crisis Management and Counseling
• Ultrasound imaging
• Education on Fetal Development, Pre-Natal Care, Parenting Skills, Natural
• Family Planning
• Unwed Parents Anonymous support group for single parents
• Sexual Integrity Education and Support
• Post-Abortion Education and Support
• Maternity Clothing, Baby Clothes and Other Supplies
• Referral for Medical, Legal, and Financial Help
